Brake and Engine issues

Hey all, I currently drive a 1993 Acclaim with a 3.0L v6, I just had an strange issue when I was driving to work today and I couldn't quite figure it out.

I pressed on the brake pedal and heard a pop and my parking brake light came on, when I pressed it again the light went away. when I pulled into the parking lot the red oil light came on and the car suddenly shut off. I was able to start it back up with no issue and found no leaks or signs of brake fluid anywhere, after checking the master cylinder I found that it was low on fluid, which I had been filled during rear drum maintenance.

i was able to drive her home but am unable to diagnose the issue, I'm a ford tech and have no clue on how the 90s mopar systems operate :) Any help would be appreciated gents
