The Pete 377 in the 1997 Movie 'Breakdown': One of Peterbilt's least Popular Tractors?
Some background: I first caught this Kurt Russell sleeper on cable TV a couple years after its 1997 release. Years later, I bought it on DVD, and it's like watching for the first time every time I play it!
As for the subject vehicle, a late 1980s Peterbilt model 377 tractor driven by the late J.T. Walsh, I personally have never seen any on the highways around where I live. The front fender/ headlamp flares seemed quite 'aero' for its day, but then along came the 379, a less sleek throwback paying homage to Peterbilts from the 1970s and before.

I tend to like the less popular of things in given categories.
(The Pete 377 for instance, or among classic rockers: Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel)
And to have minority opinions on issues.
(Most Americans consider posted speed limits to represent the slowest that one should drive. I consider it the fastest)
I'm used to being an outlier.
(I also never drank(alcohol) in my whole life!)

You sound overly pathetic and trying to be
different. Cool, that's what I want
Nope! Those are actually my tastes, and lifestyle choices. I saw what alcohol did to my family, and to me indirectly in the womb, and wanted zero part of it when I grew old enough to partake.
What's cool and is what you want?

I understand and fully support you. I faced a similar situation and it changed my attitude completely

And what did it change? What are you talking about?

I just might have to face the same thing, that's why I'm asking.
