2009 Jeep Liberty, passenger mirror and lock problem

Hey guys, I bought my son a 2009 Jeep liberty. After purchase we noticed the passenger side power mirror didn't work. My son just informed me that the front passenger door lock doesn't work with the remote. Can they be related to eachother?
