Good evening,
I've owned five Jeep Wranglers over the past thirty years. My last two recent Jeep Wrangler Sahara's - 2010 & 2012, both heater cores went out on me. Same exact issue with both - only blows luke warm air to the passenger side and cold air to the driver's side.
I've tried to do some research, but unable to really track down.
Is this a known issue with Jeep Wranglers through certain years?
Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Have you tried back flushing the heater core?

Hi Aleekat,
Unfortunately, I don't have a Mechanic's skillset and or the knowledge to answer your question with much confidence.
From what I remember, the dealership did try a back flushing on the 2010, but that didn't help.
I ended up trading it in(not because of the heater core) for the 2012 that we currently have.
Was hoping not to run into the same issue, but unfortunately we have.
I don't know what the general life expectency of a heater core is and maybe it's just that - end of life.
I've just never ran into this issue with any other vehicle.
Thanks,

As brcidd mentioned it likely isn't heater core but blend doors.
There is a box underneath the dash that controls how much heat and where it goes; on our 2011-ish liberty, we had similar issues.
Replacing requires removal of the dash so it's not cheap; the unscrupulous dealer we took it to said they replaced the unit but they did not... so if it is not a DIY item for you, make sure to find a trustworthy repair shop to do the work.
