Ferrari 360 red bull Daytona 2004 in scala 1/18

Questo è l'inizio di un nuovo progetto, la modifica di un modello in scala 1/18 della hot wheels

il primo passo è stato realizzare le decal che in questa scala non ci sono.
Per fare questo mi ha aiutato un mio amico che con il programma Inkscape
ha trasformato tutti i vari loghi in linee e me le ha dimensionate correttamente.
Poi con il programma Gimp me le ha colorate e una volta stampate le ho posizionate
sul modello per verificare le giuste proporzioni

a French transkit greatly modified with cast and mould, the rear connector was machined
making a cast of the model of the hot whells and printed

il cofano anteriore non sara apribile mentre quello posteriore sarà asportabile come sulla
vettura che ha partecipato alla 24 ore di daytona, il parauti anteriore è stato ricavato da
un transkit francese notevolmente modificato con calco e stampo, il collegatore posteriore è stato ricavato
facendo un calco del modello della hot whells e stampato

Unfortunately, the Mattel model had the doors that opened incorrectly
and therefore I had to redo the rotation fulcrums by building new hinges to make them
the model closest to reality

The decals that helped me draw with inkscape and that I had Fides print have arrived, they look very nice.

before painting the frame i had to assemble brake discs, rims and tires for
be able to make a minimum set-up/height from the ground of the car.
To make the brake discs I had to draw and have photo etchings done by Exella.
the brake calipers were made with various pieces of glued plasticard and then painted

of fides and I must say that I was very happy with the result

I modified the dashboard of the hotweels by dividing it into 4 pieces so as to be able to incorporate the rollbar.
to make the rollbar I bent many pieces of copper tube which were then welded (tinned)

some details (instrument panel, unused air vent hole closures and button trim) are
been covered with carbon decals while the steering wheel was painted black and also covered
with some flokar.
