Wheel hub and bearing replacement

Vehicle: 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS
Replaced a wheel hub and bearing using a rental tool from autoparts store, had some issue getting the bearing in straight because it was difficult to get the tool level so the bearing would go straight in.

After completing assembly, I rotated the hub to find a small but audible grind noise right away. This was then audible after driving.

Wondering if it is likely due to bad installation (had issue getting the bearing straight) or perhaps a part defect on the bearing I used?

Thanks all

Honestly could be either.
