ok my friend has a 95 LX 4dr civic auto, he wants to know how hard it would be to convert to a stick H22?

anyone know if its even worth attempting to convert to stick, or just sell the auto and get a stick version?

sell the auto and get the stick, way less hassle and less cost

I think its a lot easier to put an H22 in the 92-95 than in the 88-91, so yea.

dude just get the conversion i know decent shops will charge around 500 to 700 if you provide the parts such as trannie and petal assembly a good friend of mine blew his engine a while back and the only engine he could find had a automatic attached to it and he figured what the heck and changed to an auto. i know it's the other way around and my friend has a 97 civic but the only problem is that you might have to drill holes for the petal assembly w/ the clutch petal to bolt in.

oh shit you also need ecu and i think something to do w/ the starter. go to junk-yards. you know changing the mechanisim that only lets you start in neutral or park to one that only lets you start w/ the clutch in.

holy shit ill try... im new to this forum and i need to proof myslef.....

here goes... first of all a h22 will give you way to much front end drag..

2ND to convert a 5 or 4 gen civic 4 or 2 dr ,or hb would be retarded..
unless you are going track only..
if you are not not go away.

if you are serious then progress it...

in the town of smithhaven. drag racing is forbiddin!!!!!!!!!!!

smithhaven? NY?

the car will be a track beast only, but it seems as tho it would be easier just to buy a manual and start there.

hey i was only talking about the automatic to manual conversion i'm noone to judge an engine conversion choice, yes it would be easier to get another car but it is possible to change automatic to manual you might need to go w/ an integra manual though i dunno if a bigger trannie would fit but try calling some people at http://www.evanshondaspecialst.com they do engine swaps and a good bit of performance work they could probaly tell you what is and what isn't possible as well as give you an estimate even though i have trouble understanding their accents sometimes and you might not want to bring it to them unless your close.
