This is the Integra I had been working on for the AF comp. I missed the original deadline coz there was too much to left to do with it. I then missed the new deadline coz my drawing program packed in, which meant i couldn't do the SAS logo you see. Excuses!
Its somewhat of an experimentation really, just trying out a few new things and testing my skills. The idea for the exterior is to have it in the SAS colours i.e. the colours on the website. Therefore the body has been sprayed Tamiya Haze Grey and the decals are cut from solid colour decal sheets from the Fantasy Printshop. The SAS letters have proved to be really tricky, the layout was worked out by manipulating the letters over a profile shot of the car in Coreldraw, then printed onto the back of the decal sheet. They were then carefully cut out and took alot of perseverance to get them in postion. They tore so easily and it took me a couple of attempts to get what you see.
There is a whole bunch of other stuff going on with this model, but i'll reveal more in the coming weeks.

Couple more pics to show how the doors open. I don't know the name for these type of door conversions, its not gull-wing and not quite lambo.

Finally got around to taking a couple of pics of the hinge. Its quite simple really. Same as any normal hinge which you will find tutorials for on the web, only difference is that the pivot is set at an angle so the door will swing out and up. The hinge itself was made from wire and a piece of brass tubing.

I forgot to mention that some plastic was removed from the inside front of the door to allow it to open freely. You should be able to see this in one of the pics and how there is a slight taper to it.

Not really, will keep that pretty much stock to stop the build dragging on longer than it has. There is plenty going on with the interior though.

That's cool. The Revell 1.8 comes with supposingly 180bhp. What were you planning for the interior? Removing the back seat for a sound system? Custom cage?

There is a roll cage which i'm dead pleased with. Also made a custom dash, treadplate floor and a few little extras. The interior mods were done ages ago, painted and since been waiting asembly for god knows how long. I just cant seem to get around to doing all those bits and bobs to get the model to come together. Be patient with me everyone!
