Ram 1500 Rust

I am in the market to buy a brand new pickup. The last 2 Ram trucks I have owned (1997 & 2007) were nothing but rust buckets. Both of them the bed sides rusted out. The current one I have (2007) the rocker panels, both cab corners and 2 doors are rusting and need fixed soon.
I have narrowed my search down to 2 trucks. Ram 1500 and Ford F150. What draws me to the Fords is the aluminum body. No rust.
I know metal rusts but shouldn't rust this quick.
Anyone know if Ram has addressed these rusting issues.

No, I do not believe Ram has solved their corrosion issues. They still have a persistent issue of corrosion appearing right in the center of the wheel wells, just above the inner fender. I believe it is a drain area for the two panels and it just gets clogged with dirt and the water cannot drain and just causing corrosion issues. My 2 cents
