Electric Door Lock Problems

My better ran down because I left a door ajar. After jump starting and recharging the batter, I noticed that my keyless remote did not work (its batteries are okay). Can't find any information in the owners manual about what to do. Does anyone know if there is a reset button somewhere? The red light on the dash panel no longer works. I can operate my door locks with my key, but operation is intermittant. It takes two or three twists to get all the doors to unlock, though the one at the key usually works the first time. Does anyone know where I can get information on this subject.

I just bought this car used, and am thinking of getting the shop manual or a repair manual of some sort. Any recommendations.

I'd appreciate help.

Thanks.

For some reason the word "battery" turned into "better" and "batter" when I hit the "post new thread" for my post. It's a car batter I'm talking about, not self improvement or how to cook with sourdough! Sorry about the problem.

Can't help you with the wireless part, but it's normal to take two turns of the key to open all locks. Some sort of safety feature I guess, ( Intruder at another door won't be able to get in.)
