Regulator guide clips smash and grab

Some thief smashed and grabbed my front drivers side window completely shattering it. I bought a new window and I cannot get the old regulator guide clips to fit. I cannot find new ones for my application. Is there some technique to get these clips installed without breaking them? Thanks in advance for your comments.
