just curious if anyone has, or knows someone with, a 2004-2006 GMC with hybrid technology? do not know how many the Ft. Wayne plant built during that 3yr run.. they were supposedly only made for government contractors; i was lucky to find one..
the Hybrid has no starter or alternator; but an auto stop/start engine and power genrator within the transmission bell housing, regenerative braking, electric power-steering, and a button activated feature for an onboard 2400watt generator for running small base camp or construction site w/o power grid..
i 'believe', but cannot confirm that approximately 3000 per year were manufactured in four various RWD, 4WD, short box, and ext. cab configurations.

I was aware of them when they were first made, as obscure as they were. I always wondered why they were never developed further. A Suburban version was also listed.

darn imgur pic didn't post..still, wonderful to pull to site w/o power and run compressor, miter, battery chargers, and skilsaw-- then get home during snowstorm/power outage, and plug the house in... just do NOT turn on dryer! haha.

thanks Blue Bowtie.. unlike old win xp, after i hunted in chrome i found it, and the pic popped right in... but SOO sorry.. i cropped and shrunk the file copy from 4mb to 77kb to fit the forum parameters; and it still looks like you need a 32" screen..
talk about a noob.. sorry again, will try to 'thumbnail' it next time..
