Ive been wanting to remove the bowtie emblems on the hood and trunk.
Ive heard about using fishing line, but i dont know if thats the proper way to go about it.
I want to switch the bowties with Super Street Emblems, how would i go about putting these emblems on(i.e. what type of glue).
p.s. im assuming the emblems are mearly glued on.

clean off the area around the emblem really good, then dry of course. then, w/ a blow dryer, heat the emblem and area, (!but not too much b/c u could mess up the paint job!). then w/ the fishline, slowly slide it under the emblem removing it. then w/ a dry towel, wipe away any tape/glue left over. clean it off w/ water it u wanna...etc.
now for putting another emblem on, in my experience, there is tape on the back of it, so just peel and stick where u want it. if you're gonna use gllue, go to an auto store and get some for CARS, not just any glue.

I removed my chev emblems with a heat gun and i thought the glue would come off easy. didnt happen. the glue is still there and i dont want to try to much b/c the car was just painted, spray 9 didnt work and i dont know what else to try.heating it again didnt work.
Help!..its driving me nuts

with my car i used a damp soft cloth soaked in gas. it did the trick beautifully and didnt effect my paint at all. You could also try that goo gone stuff if you want but i dont know what that does to paint.

on my old pontiac grand prix (before i t-boned a van and totaled it.. dont worry it was her fault...i used the money from it to buy my 96 z24) i used a heat gun and then took it off with fishing line. there was still some glue left on there because i couldnt get the fishing line flush up against the car to take it all off with the emblems so i used goof-off and it took it right off without doing anything to the paint. i had an old piece of shit car though that didnt have a good paint job so you might wanna check up on the goof off before you use it... it might of just been a fluke that it did nothing to my paint
