I have 1990 325i have an oil leak on exhaust manifold . I have replaced valve cover gasket any thoughts?

The only possible source of oil above the exhaust manifold is the valve cover - I would check that it is not warped (it's plastic, and they do).
Failing this, reinstall the gasket with a bead of Reinzosil along the bottom edge.
