Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade Tamiya 1/12

Hello all.
A motorcycle entered the workshop, namely the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade 2020, a new Tamiya product and here a pleasant surprise, i.e. slight traces of ejectors and the so-called seams and, in my opinion, the best plastic to process.

In the original, there are two color versions to choose from: Grand Prix Red

and version: Matte Pearl Morion Black.

I chose the version: Matte Pearl Morion Black wanting to have fun painting with black colors from various Mr. Hobby, Gaia, IPP Paints, Matte, Semi Gloss and Gloss series, which I have in stock in my home paint shop and the effect is completely different from each manufacturer.

The frame was the first to be painted. Tamiya suggested painting the front part of the frame with Black metallic color, but I added my own color, i.e. black semi gloss C92 Mr.Hobby with the addition (literally a drop from a toothpick) White Pearl from IPP Paints. After painting with this mixture I sprayed the black semi gloss C92 from a distance so as to extinguish the pearl effect and give the frame a slight porosity. In the daylight the pearl effect is invisible and only emerges under artificial lighting or strong sunlight.

The rear part of the frame is painted black semi gloss by Gaia Color, which is shinier than the C92.

Control arm painted with black finishing surfacer 1500 from Mr.Hobby and black fender C92. Imitations of brake lines made of 1.2 mm Shrink Tube from Top Studio, which after burning with a lighter are thinner than the cables added in the Tamiya set.
I painted the rim with a black gloss C series from Mr.Hobby.

From the set supports, which were at the rocker arm, the model slid off the stender, so I cut off these stumps and rolled out new ones on a home lathe, as they are in the original (sleeve diameter 0.9mm and the plate 1.8mm). Extracting two pieces takes 40 minutes of my work, but the circle is not falling down now.

Now it was the turn of the engine.
After reviewing the reference photos, I noticed a few gaps and irregularities, and above all, the wrong location of the clutch cable.

This is what it looks like in a set.

And so in the original.

One hour of work and the clutch cable is ready.
