02 Lesabre custom ignition help please

my 02 custom LeSabre only wants to start when the front wheels are straight
I have checked battery good alternator good all lights light like suppose too every thing checks out good
was thinking maybe the key is worn down cause i do have to push the key in
or could it be the ignition itself or lock cylinder any help is appreciated

Not clear here, you mean the engine will not crank at all, so if you turn the wheels off straight does the key turn far enough to engage the starter?

yes, I can turn the key as normal and it will not start, the starter does engage
but will not start, the front wheels have to be straight and no problem it will start, once in a while I have to move the steering wheel, all the way up and then back to where I normally have it to drive

That sounds like there may be a problem in the column wire harness.
