2014 SRX - Can't remove license plate screw

I have been working on this for 3 days. Can't get one of the screws out to change plates. Can't get enough of a hold with vice grips to rip it out.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

It's a metric thread mounting screw.
Rust remover and may by heat and time will remove it , right hand thread plate holder.
Anti seize is a must when replacing bolts.

Is the end of the screw accessible from the back side?

It's been 4 years. Hope OP isn't driving around on expired plates.

No it is not. Cadillac set this body up for the export / global market and the different plates .
2017 to 25 xt5 have the coarse thread with the plastic square in the body.
