Violent shaking

A few weeks ago I hit a pothole that dented my rim which then started causing a bubble in my tire and my car started shaking when I would hit about 40 miles per hour. I grabbed the new rim and tire hoping that would stop the shaking but it has not stopped. Where did anyone have an idea what I should check next, is shaking has gotten worse since I put the new rim and tire on and starts at about 40 miles per hour. It never gets worse after that because I don't think it could get worse.
