03 sierra. 5.3L
I pulled my driver seat to replace the springs. After reconnecting everything, my gauges weren't working. Eventually they came on (after driving for a few minutes) but this last time I went out to start it, it was slow to start. The tach and speedo still work, but other gauges don't. Also ABS, airbag, and battery lights are on (Check engine is always on due to reasons).
power locks and windows don't work. I noticed that my radio stayed on after I turned the truck off and opened the door (it usually automatically goes off at this point). I manually turned it off and locked the doors.
How would the seat and gauges be connected? Or is this likely just a huge coincidence?

You might have shorted something/grounded out something, so I would start checking fuses.

thanks! I'm new to this model, how many fuse boxes are there and would removing a seat really blow a fuse? I guess I should've disconnected the battery first

Update, after a jump, the gauges seem to be back to working properly. Makes zero sense to me but as long as it's working I'm happy. Only thing I hate about these vehicles is you can never seem to fix anything without running into or causing other problems.

If it took a jump, how old is your battery?

prev owner said it was around 4 years old. Probably due to be replaced.
