Sick Kitty.

Was supposed to drive to Seattle yesterday for the 4th, and had some car troubles (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t115368.html). Anyways, when we got home, noticed that my little girl Sophie was acting strange. She wouldn't respond to any kind of noise or food or anything which is really strange for her. She just sat on the couch staring into space for the rest of the night. Woke up at about 3am and found her cowering behind the couch, still unresponsive and listless... Took her to the pet emergency clinic, and she's got a fever of 104°. Got her some antibiotics, and are trying to get her to drink water so that she doesn't dehydrate. Her head is hot to the touch, and she's still acting strange.

Hope she's okay, but we've cancelled our plans for the weekend.

damn Mike, that sucks bro...I hope she gets better I hate seeing a sick animal :frown: . Keep us posted.

my oldest caat has hyperthyroidism (or something) and she would have died if she didn't get to the vet. i know what it feels like when your pets are sick, it sucks

that's cool you care about your cat so much, but after taking her to the vet... i wouldve at least done something for the 4th :bloated: :biggrin:

:( Hope she gets better dude! I know how it is. My kitty, Kristy, had a fever 3 days after we got her and she was 20 minutes from death when she got to the vets :eek:

She's better now... finally got her to eat some baby food, and she perked right up afterwards... back to her old self now.

And I did do something for the 4th... Went to my favorite bar down-town, and the owner took a bunch of us up to the roof of the 5 story building to watch the fireworks... was pretty cool.

Then, that night, my other cat (who is a total basket case scaredy-cat) took off, probably spooked by the fireworks, and didn't come back until this morning. thought he was dead or picked up by animal control since he has a temper and would probably bite anyone that found him...

Plus drove to Leavenworth WA yesterday to visit my folks at their cabin. Had fun, got a nice tan...
