I haven't been on for 2 days because some truck like blasted through my connection or something.
I had no TV or internet.
THX to Chris for the body kit awesome quality as always!
This is as you know an SAS ITR. Painted Tamiya pure white. Interior is flat white and flat red combo. I added a bucket seat in there and a nitrous bottle from racin resins.com
I also added the V6 twin turbo engine from the revell Dodge stealth kit.
A lot of frustrating work went into this. The engine bay came from my supintegra. So I cut off the original and put in the new engine bay on.
The original I guess could be used in some curbside kit I find some day.

The radiator hose looks wierd and out of scale but it's the best I had making it out of styrene.
THe support bar had to be bent because the engine was a little too big.
Well bookshelf has his own opinion and I respect that. :thefinger
I'd just like to know why it looks gay.
Maybe I said something bad about his models b4?
And if you can see that silver thing, that is where the turbo box is supposed to be but I lost it.
I also made the fart cans the way intera 14 does.
I think it looks a little ricy but I like it!

Good job! Not sure...but, does the rear bumper need some panel lines where it joins the body? Could be mistaken tho. Ah, and forget about the crazy comment...as long as the veteran AF'ers like it - is all that matters, IMO!
Also, did you have any probs using pure white?

I like the overall look of it! It carries pure racing integra blood! I want to see a lot more about the engine, please more pics!

07-04-2003, 05:44 PM
The only thing that's bad about it is the engine compartment doesn't have a lot of detail, otherwise its awesome. The rear bumper is coming loose on the passengers side. Did you lower it at all? I'll be ordering a kit from SAS in a few days and wanted to see how the car would sit at the stock height.

Thats a great model car the engine needs help on the detail and then I think it will be perfect.

oh yeah, you shou;d build some spacers so the wheels stick out more.
bah humbug
07-04-2003, 10:21 PM
THX guys.
I lowered it a bit.
There is nothing else to show about the engine.
So sorry no more pics.
I'm not gonna detail it anymore.
Putting it in there was so frustrating that this project was put on and off many times!
I had to thin the under of the hood a bit so that it would fit.
Hey, tell me what's missing in the engine bay specifically so I can improve on it next time please.
Is it because I cut off some parts in the engine bay or because I missed painting something or because I didn't wire the engine.

i think it looks good.
i don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with the engine bay per se. i think that it just needs some color in there that's all. there's too much body color in the engine bay that you currently have. maybe a good wash would break up all that white. another trick may be to play with colors as well as finishes for the eingine bay. i know the equipment under the hood is mostly flat but a bit of sparsely placed gloss on some select items such as the radiator caps would help in creating a more detailed effect. it gives the eye something more to notice and makes it appear less boring. i hope this helps.
great job!

Sad to have to read the crap comments you had to put up with. If you dont like a model, there is a way to say it with out coming straight out and attacking the builder/model by calling it gay.

i dont mean to sound rude, but
Why in the fuck would you put that motor in an integra?
You could have at least put a goddamn NSX engine in it.
The body looks good, but what the fuck were you thinking with the motor?

I know that these are not real cars we are dealing with here, but if i see one more "turbo charged car" where they have fucking short ram intake with an goddamn intercooler chilling behind the bumper, I am going to piss blood. Some people want make a car all rice. Thats fine. But, if you want to make a performance car, but don't know shit about how a decent performance setup looks, don't fucking do it. There are a trillion pics out there that clearly illustate how a turbo charged car looks. I have seen some of the most talented model car builders ever on this site. I have also seen a bunch of crap. In my opinion good paint and body kits don't make up for continuity errors.
For the record, i am not directing this at the person who posted this car. Once again the paint and body work looks good, but the engine situation has got to change. What is next, a fucking Skyline with a single cam d series Honda engine? I'm sure it could be done, but why in the fuck would you ever do it?

because people want to be differnet, people want to try new things on models since they cant do it on real cars, some people are seriously just so damn close minded:mad: maybe ill out in a cooper motor in a Skyline, what will u do about it? just moan some more? please leave, or just keep your damn opinions to yourself

NO NEED TO BE SO RUDE.
Let me clear things up!
Smaller pipe - radiator hose. I know it looks funny but it's the best I could do with styrene.
Larger pipe - Connected to Air intake manifold and intercooler.
Are you happy.

ooh...come on Bookshelf, your post is far too rude.
According to AF conduit, you have to express your feeling like this:
NICE Work man, another great piece of kit done.
Nice Paint work, the white is very shinny.
But the kit looks a bit too agreesive IMO.
The drilled drake disc looks a little bit wierd.
The engine bay looks good but look at the left and the right side, how come those fuse box looks black on the top but white at the side?
etc.....
You see, express your "gay" feeling in a more precise way so that the modeler can improve.

No one should lie about how they feel about a particular piece of work but it's not necessary to be a complete idiot when replying to posts either! I see plenty of models that I may not necessarily care for but I don't bash the builder nor do I lie to them to make them feel better; I have enough respect for other's work to at least appreciate the time and efforts put into it. Others should try to do the same.
