Glow Plug Pen

So I would like to start this off as saying this device will not be used in a car. I need some professional help choosing a power source for this device I'm making. Basically it is a PVC pipe with a glow plug attached to the end for cutting foam, plexiglass, and possibly cutting rope. I'm am confused at the point in which I don't know how to convert the normal power requirements for glow plugs, as they usually run for 5sec to make it run for like 15min. I'm looking into a wall adapter, RC batteries, car batteries anything to make this work.

For background, this is a STEM project for one of my classes that I came up with.
