1995 Cherokee CountryT/Case Switch Wiring

I have been looking for a wiring schematic for a 242 transfer case indicator lamp switch. I have found many for the 231 transfer case. It appears there are two switches in the body of the switch. One switch will activate the 4x4 light and the second switch will illuminate the part time 4x4 switch. I have replaced the switch and the 4x4 indicator lamp stays on in 2 wheel drive. The transfer case is in 2 wheel. The Jeep part number, 83503525, crosses to a Dorman number, 600-552. Could the switch be manufactured wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
