I did a search.........also read the "how to" thread. Couldn't find answers to my question.
Hi, I am building my 3rd car model. I remember a long time ago, i used enamel paint to paint a model, after letting it dried for a week, i sprayed another coat of paint on it.................and the dried paint from the week before started to crack.
I am sure you guys know what i am talking about.
I am not doing the same to this car i am building, but i've never got the answer to this problem. Is there any way to avoid dry paint cracking up when i spray new paint over it???
Thanks. Any comments appreicated.

Are you spraying tamiya cans or another lacquer over the enamel??? or enamel again, if you spray the same kind of paint over and over again doesnt happen anything, so.. if your paint cracks... the only thing that I know that make make this is use acrilic over enamel, so... if you've done this....this is the problem, you CANNOT use the acrilic spray cans over enamels, if you use enamels over enamels and the paint cracks.... dude, I dont know :frown:

Catfoodv...
sorry to be a bit off topic, are you the same catfoodv that also builds anime figures?
I remember going to you website years ago...
Nice to see you branch out to car models :bigthumb:
btw, acrylic spray from airbrush over enamel should be fine (not the other way around).
