not really a "fuel economy" thread, but just wondering if the E-85 gas is only supposed to be used in "flex fuel vehicles" Will it do harm to other vehicles? What about older vehicles? I would never put anything other than reg unleaded in my vehicle but someone brought this up and I'm curious.

Older vehicles will end up with many issues if you use E85. They do not have the proper tune to compensate for it. The rubber lines, gaskets, and eve the pump will deteriorate and fail as the ethanol will eat them.
There are a lot more drawbacks to E85 too. The only real benefit is when people can take full advantage of the higher octane in modified cars.
