cam gears w/stock internals

would there be any purpose to getting cam gears with stock internals? i was going to upgrade cams and all that, but i decided to wait for a bit and get all the basics taken care of instead. all im going to have is i/h/e, high flow cat, apex controller and msd ignition/wires.
