Hi,
I'll start the new year with another completed car: the Lotus 49B by Ebbro.
A nice kit, good fit (mostly), nice details. Only thing I had a problem with was the rear suspension; the wheels have a bit too much camber. I'm not sure what I did wrong, the half axles seem to be a bit long, pushing the lower end of the uprights outward. I tried to disassemble and fix it, but the plastic is very sensitive, I had a few parts break, so I left it as it was. The nose fits well, contrary to my expectations; the little gap on the side you see on the photos can be closed a bit further by a light press, I forgot to do it before the photos.
I painted with the Zero Paints set for the GL Lotus..es? Loti? But be careful, as I said the plastic is sensitive, without Zero Paints sealer or a similar product even a light mist coat of Zero Paints will attack the plastic through the primer. I also used TS29, Alclad Alu, Steel and Chrome. Added the usual assortment of wires and hoses, some proper belts, and redid the gurney on the nose from a tea light. I also used an MSM fill in decal set.
Hope you like it.
