I have a 2001 Silverado with the 4.3 Liter V6.
I replaced all new Timing chain and sprockets. After putting everything back together it would not crank without holding gas pedal down and would not idle at all. It gave me a P1345 code CKP/CMP CORRELATION CODE. So i got the number 1 plug TDC and the rotor button was not on the 6. So i pulled the distributur and lined the button on the 6. When i started it again it backfired through the intake and now will not start at all. I checked the number 1 plug position again and now it will not line back up with the 6 on the distributor. I am stumped. Please help.

This is a typical engine response to incorrect cam timing and/or ignition timing.

timing chain installed wrong. give details on how you took apart the front cover old timing chain.. rotated the engine .. distributor removed when and why ?
may have to take valve cover off so you know if your at TDC and the cam/crank are setup properly..
why did you do this work ? how many miles on engine .
