2008 - Speaker installation

I'm trying to install speakers in my sisters vehicle. The speakers do not fit where the screws are supposed to go and the, I guess frame, to the speakers doesn't help. They seem to be too small even though my sister swears it's the right ones for the car. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
