I only have one question. Will the LS exhaust manifold fit on the b16 head? If anyone could get back to me before sat i would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.

let us know how it goes. any noticeable difference?? I was thinking about doing it in my 93. alot of people say the torque loss makes it not worth it.

why would you wanna bother converting from OBDII into your OBD0 car, why not get a b16a and make things alot easier.

Good point but it sounds like he's already got the engine. Should have gotten a B16a from Si-R I. Non OBD

I just bought this car last week for $1400. Then I spun a bearing. I have the b16 lying around awaiting my 94 civic coupe. But I'm so far off from finishing it that I decided to just throw it in the teg. This way I get back on the road much faster than a rebuild or buying a used LS ,which is IMO unreliable, with a 90 day warranty. Also after the swap, I will have an LS to play with, which I think will end up being a very built LS VTEC for my civic. But, I will keep you posted on any complications in the swap or any gains/losses in speed. Its only a loss of 10ft1bs. of torque and a gain of I believe 20 or 30 horsepower. Pluse I gain vtec. It should be about even I suppose.

Yeah but there is a lot of comlicated wiring to put that engine in, like OBD II swap and VTEC harnesses. ETC.

I bought one of those rpm activated boxes for the vtec. I was going to us the inatke manifold, distributor, altenator, and tranny from the LS. And I wouldn't have to run a knock sensor. What other problems are there?

I thought you have to run a knock sensor on all VTEC's?
Am I wrong?
What about the OBD swap?

I dont think the knock sensor is necessary because obd0 doesn't look for the knock sensor, If i'm wrong I dont think it will be a problem. I'm not going to even have vtec untill the box gets here. As for the obd problem, I'm swapping over almost everything i can think of that would cause a problem. that is intake, dist., etc.. If i have plug problems i guess i will just have to splice some in from my obd1 harness
The LS ecu will run the b16 no problem. I will eventually get it chipped so that i can use the b16 to its potential.
