Im getting a new intake manifold for my 1982 El Camino 3.8L 231cid V6 I know the carb will fit on the manifold but how do I make sure It has all the same vacuum hoses and such? is it Universal? I just don't want to pay $200 for a carburetor that doesn't fit my car. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Edit: Here is the new intake manifold https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Edelbrock-2111-Performer-90-deg-V6-Intake-Manifold-Chevy-4-3L,109368.html

That manifold is not for a 3.8, how did you pick that out?

Speedway motor support, "Performer 90 Deg. V6 Intake Manifold is designed for street and marine 1985-95 200-229-262 c.i.d. (3.8 and 4.3L) Chevy V6s."

The 231 is the Buick V6. The Chevy V6 is a 229 and is compatible with the 4.3. Your Elco should have the Chevy 229, unless it was a "California" model, which did come with the 231. If it is indeed the 231, then that manifold is not compatible.

My grandfather bought it new in Cali.... How can I find a manifold that does fit?

Okay I found one that looks more like the stock manifold. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-5486?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-edelbrock&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5s3cBRCAARIsAB8ZjU35inX9ZfpMJKtw4LML Vz3K3b1stZVRkUSIcA_aAAoz8sFymO0y--caAokNEALw_wcB How can I be sure its compatible?

Looking for carburetors I'm not finding a lot near the 300CFM Ideal for my engine. Is it okay to get something bigger? What are the negative side effects?
