Hello folks,
Anybody know a good troubleshooting procedure for a 2009 RAV4 battery light? It has the 4-Cyl engine, and the battery light just came on after I replaced the battery due to old one being weak.

Battery light being on is usually caused by a charging system failure. If it only occurred after the battery replacement you may have blown a fuse for the alternator.

Thanks, check the fuse and it was fine. Using voltmeter, determined that the alternator definitely was not providing a charge. Anyway purchased a remanufactured alternator threw it in and car works fine now.
I tried disassembling the alternator to determine what had failed, but was unable to remove the rectifier assembly, even after removing all the fasteners. Seemed like it was hung up on one of the stator leads, are these just prongs and clip?
