Won't Start

My 2006 Mariner Hybrid won't start, even when I tried to jump it. I turn the key to start position and nothing happens. This car has not been driven for about 2 weeks, which happens frequently. Since I retired and have another car, the Mariner is usually driven less than 1000 miles each year. What could be the problem?
