My truck was a freebie mechanics special. I've replaced practically everything except the injectors so it seems like a safe bet. But they'd cost -/+ $100 so I want to ask for alternatives first. Another thread talked about checking the ecu on a '99 but I don't know if the diagnosis would apply to a '94. Has good spark, recently re-bored w/ new pistons, valve lifters work, runs just as good w/ 1 & 2 plug wires disconnected. lacks power.

http://staticaf.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon3.gif! Do the injector wires go to relays or directly to the ecu? Maybe the wires? has anybody done this?

Update: #2 had a plugged injector, #1 had an internally grounded (brand new) autolite sparkplug. Just so you know & now y'all can sleep at night & not worry about it.

This doesn't make sense since 1/4 and 2/3 are paired together....

Hi TechII: do you mean paired at the coil(they are), or paired at the ecu (are they?). There's plenty of spark so the coil isn't it. If they're paired and 1/2 works then the other half should be working too (thanks). ok I'm pulling out the injectors.

sun 11:53 edit: did that, injectors work on the bench.

Unless a cam is wiped.

Cam should be ok, the rocker arms move convincingly.
