Car Stalls After Stopping

I have a 2006 Ford Taurus 3 litre V6.
I have had the compressor replaced and in the hot weather when the A/C is running my car stalls 1 in five times when I stop at a traffic signal or stop sign.

It seems to be reacting the the load of the compressor. When I first come to a stop its idling at about 1000 rpm then drops to 100/200 rpm and recovers to normal at 700 rpm. But that 1 in 5 times it stalls. Real pain in the ***.

If I turn off the A/c the car runs and idles normal.

Any suggestions?

I suggest you focus your search on the Idle Air Control (IAC) servo, the passages in the throttle body for the IAC, and check for any carbon buildup on the back side of the throttle plate or throttle bore.

The IAC should increase the air bypassing the throttle plate at idle to account for the added load of the A/C compressor as well as if the power steering is at lock.
