1999 Escort Control Module Relay Removal

I found out my CCRM was defective. When I went to remove the plug I found it impossible to move. There looks to be a screw in the center of the modular plug. Is this a support screw? If so how do I remove it? If not is it corroded? I do not want to destroy this modular plug.
