Price for a ZC swap?

The time has come to swap my car and I'm going to go DOHC ZC. If I get a shop to swap everything (motor, trans, new clutch and MPFI) how much do you think thats going to cost me? And to those who have swapped ZC's, how do you like them? Thanks.

well man i'm definately very far from an experet, but i konw http://www.evanshondaspecialists.com has zc engines for sale and if you wnat to go with the best then go check out http://www.hasport.com they have lotta links to purchasing engines and i haven't been able to find it but they give you prices on swaps too. i'de say that if you don't have mpfi than a swap would cost you a somewhere near the area of $1300 but i'm only guessing i have no price quotes and wait for more expeienced people to answer too, that's really important.

i am currently getting a ZC swap. not by necessity, but by choice. anyway, i was quoted about $1200 total for engine and installation. +- $100-$200. so $1,300 sounds pretty close to what i'm getting.

hey man i did some searching yesterday and found a bunch of nice engine purchasing sights in the links section to hasport so check that out it's also a good place to buy engines cheeper than evanshondaspecialst too
