Black 2000 golf 1.8t
with the stage 4 turbo (350hp)
chip, full exhaust, headers, fmic

what else would be soem good mods to get more hp?

I plan to make this car once i graduate, my parents will buy me the car as a graduation present and i need another 1000 for the stage 4 turbo upgrade from http://8vturbo.com/products/items/transverse18t.asp
(is that a good turbo kit?)

well i want some 18's on it too but that would kill some power so would 17's be big enough?

thx

With what you've outlined there. I would definitly stick with 17's, maybe even 15's for the track. Also, with that 350hp on a stock suspension. You might as well kiss your traction, in just about every gear, goodbye. You will NOT be able to floor it in at LEAST 1-3rd, without breaking loose. I had a friend that put a K04 turbo and chip on his 2000 Golf, with the stock suspension, and his 1/4" time actually got considerably worse than before the turbo upgrade. Stiffer suspension is definitly needed. In my '02, with a 1.1 bar chip and stock suspension, traction was pretty much non-existant in 1st and 2nd (sometimes 3rd). Put on some Intrax/Koni Coilovers and its like driving a whole new car. You'll for SURE want to do a suspension upgrade!
You might as well also get a CAI too. Since you'll have done all that work on the exhaust side. Might as well help it suck that air in a little better. I prefer the Carbonio carbon fiber CAI. Compared to others I've seen (ABD, homemade). Carbonio kicks their a$$'s. Performance wise CAI's are all pretty close. The Carbonio's sound and look are what set it above the rest. Plus, being carbon fiber. It actually stays cool which keeps the air cool as it's sucked in. ABD has heatsoak issues.

There ya ave it... my $.02

yea i planned for new suspension for a lower stance and better traction, i was thinkin 18's for daily driving and 15's with drag radials for the track

Oh yeah, and don't forget about a new clutch. Your stock one won't last ya 10 minutes with all that hp....
