Autorice.com sells aN S600 style grill insert for 86-93 E-class 124 body. It's a lot cleaner looking than the chaulky gray plastic I have replaced twice! P.

Another solution to the crappy gray grill is to take apart grill and take off the chrome inserts and spraypaint it black... it shows how to do it on a website for Mercedes 190's called 190 Revolution (www.mb190.tripod.com)
good luck

It's almost impossible to keep sprayed black paint on the chaulky gray plastic unless the plastic is first primed with "plastic" primer. Even then, the tiny pebbles eat away the paint. P.

You can buy the insert at www.matrixcar.de . I just received mine in three weeks and it fits perfectly. P.
