Apparently...
Intakes for Large Displacement Engines - Dyno-Tested to Deliver More Torque and Horsepower than Every Intake on the Market
Does anyone have an AEM brute force intake system? Be honest..whats your opinon ... I can almost guarantee it doesnt make a performance change as to an increase...can anyone verify or tell us if they have gotten a better output out of this?

I too am interested in which intake people are using and theyre experiences.
AEM is a reputable manufacturer, so is K&N. The K&N option is half the price, PN 57-3023-1. Im not sure which one I will go with.
Any others?

I get the magazine now and then, it just so happens that they did an article about AEM Brute Force intake. They took a 97-99 GMC sonoma 4.3L engine, stock, and put on a Brute Force intake. They dyno-ed the truck before and after.
Before: 159 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque
After: 171 hp and 204 lb-ft of torque
Thats on the dyno, and dyno's don't lie.
I have the K&N FIPK Gen II intake. I can feel the difference on my vehicle. I like it alot. Hope this helps.

Thank you for that info. Seems like there is a bit to gained by freeing up the intake.
Do you notice any better gas mileage with the K&N?

I really don't if I get better mileage. All in all, I think I get the same mileage as stock. Even if I don't, I think it is barely noticable.

Just installed a Volant #15953 on my '03 Denali. Cheapest price in the U.S. through http://www.hyperformanceauto.com. I haven't put it on a dyno yet but you can definitely notice a difference in the top end power wise. Sounds a little bit louder too even with the stock exhaust system. For the same price as the K&N, I would get the Volant. I haven't noticed a difference in MPG yet as I've only driven it 24 miles with the new intake.

I have an '01 yukon with an Airaid intake, Flowmaster catback exhaust, Hypertech tuned computer and a Poweraid throttle body spacer. I get about 3 mpg better than stock but the real deal is when I can pull a trailer and not even know that is there and still get the same mileage.
