94 firebird v6 3.4ltr to Chevy 350 ??

What would it take, cost to swap a 350 into a 94 firebird v6? Would it be better to buy an lt1 crate engine so I (might) have the injectors and everything?
Will the transmission have to be changed out since the final goal is 300 hp?

Has anyone ever done this?
