my car's infested with ants!!!

sorry this is in the off-topic forum but i had no idea where to put it and i knew i'd get a good bit of feedback here...

anyways, for the past 24 hours ive seen ants crawling around my interior. about an hour ago we inspected the car and they are EVERYWHERE! ive sprayed some insecticide and im letting it settle. i also vacuumed the entire car out. :dunno: i have no idea how this could have happened, except for 2 possible reasons...

1. someone ate/drank in my car and spilled something (even though i didnt find anything when vacuuming)

2. my car was parked in my friends backyard for about 10 hours the other night. i couldve possibly parked directly over/near an ant hill?

if anyone has ANY advice on how to deal with this id appreciate it greatly! :1zhelp:

I had this happen once. I went out to a desert party and parked right next to an anthill. My right foot was right on it when I went into the car to get something. And before I knew what was going on I had crawled inside of the car....then I had ants all over. It was summer here, so for the next 3 days I parked it out in the direct sun (113+ temps) with all the windows up. Fried the little f0ckers good. Then I took the car in to get detailed and asked the place to do an extra good vacuuming.

If you can't cook them - get one of the raid ant traps. Poison the bastards and they'll be gone in a few days. Then do like Kat says, get the car cleaned.

You HAVE found the nest right???? I say lay some ant traps around the car- the ants take the poison back to the nest and nuke every last fucker :devil:

i couldnt sleep tonight so i went to the 24hour grocery store and bought some ant traps. put one on the passenger floor board up near the under-dash area because that's where i finally found a trail of them. hopefully the box is right and they will be gone in 24 hours...

ants do eat rice. i kno cuz i eat rice everyday. and i have seen worse ant problems in my dad's Accord. my sis and lil bro droppd ice cream al over the floor, we forgot to clean it up, so by the next day, we see like 1000 ants and other Spiders feeding and makin webs in the car. man O MAN, should a taken a pic of it fo sho.
