I recently had a problem with CMP sensor last year. I checked all the wiring between CMP sensor, ICM, and PCM when I was troubleshooting before deciding to replace the sensor (which did fix my problem). Obtain a schematic if you can as well as the troubleshooting guide from the FSM...I don't have those with me right now.
I wonder if PCM is not getting valid signal but engine is running well with its default values. Make sure you put in the correct replacement part (check part number).
Another thing I did (with key on/engine off) was to monitor the CMP signal at PCM connector (using multimeter) while my son rotated the crankshaft to see the input signal (which is pulse width modulated if I recall correctly) toggle high/low as the magnet on the camshaft passed the sensor magnet. I forget the crank:cam turns ratio...2:1 I think.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

15.2 is high. That's why you got a charge system fault. It should stay around 14.5 when running.

The new one I got said it will charge anywhere for 13.5 to 15

And at 15.2 it will throw the charging system failure that you got. Again it should stay around 14.5

Ok got a ten day today. Now the guy who I went to for the inspection sent me to his nephews shop who had a scan tool that mesures waves on everything to do with the car. He reprogramed the computer with the 14,000$ tool. Now the charging system failure came back on with new alternator in. light and car bonded down. I'm stumpted what now lol

Are you taking your voltage readings from the I/P cluster or a voltmeter across the battery?

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never heard of an ICM causing an alternator to overcharge.....but apparently it fixed it.....
