Help- Where is the Crank Sensor 2012 Civic DX

Hi,

My 2012 check engine light and "check emissions" light came on. I took it to the dealer and told me is the knock (not crank-my bad) sensor. I do not have the manual, but the dealer said that the crank sensor is on the top back of the engine.

However, my friend has a book and says that is on the back side of the engine but accessible only through under the car.

I have the part, all I need is to see if you can help me and point me on the right direction. Where is the crank sensor location?
