My bad... i didnt scroll down far enough to see if someone had written about it :D
how do you feel about it having a non-Alfa engine? i'm not what you'd call "chuffed" about it

Seing as it's Alfa putting an engine in an SUV- I can't imagine them doing anything nearly powerful enough to pull it along at decent pace- they'll think it'[s a car for sure- I suppose it's better to get the V6's from Holden (A well established Aussie builder of heavily disguised Opel Omegas) than Opel or Chevrolet (Builders of some of the crappiest 4-6 cylinder-engines)

Why wouldnt Alfa build anything powerful enough for an SUV? :confused:

They are very quick engines- they propel the Sedans/hatches very nicely- but one thing I do note with the V6's is a slight lack of torque:frown:

A SUV is not a sport car ! A Cayenne Turbo or a X5 4.6is has no sense to me !
But a 3.2 V6 250hp would be enough for this Kamal. Also a 2.4 JTD 175hp. But don't forget that this car will appear on the market in 2 or 3 years and Alfa engines will be more powerfull.

well this is just a concept car, i wonder if Alfa ever makes suv, i think they have learned to do 4x4 systems with this one. But you never know. And
engine ;
"The power output is 250 bhp at 6200 rpm, with peak torque of 300 Nm (30.6 kgm) at 4800 rpm. Which is sufficient to guarantee exciting performance, and a torque curve that reaches very high levels even at low speeds, allowing you to travel in 6th gear at less than 2000 rpm and to slip rapidly away without needing to change gear. "
And Alfa V6 engine is possible to make as big as 3.5L. But thats quite old engine origins from ´71 (emissions,consumption too big etc) so they need newer ones if they gonna sell these in USA.
