RB26DETT swap info

I see that this is a frequently asked question on the board so Im going to give you guys some feedback.

An S13 with a RB26DETT has been talked up and down because most of you have heard bits and pieces but dont really know what is and isnt involved in the swap.

First, all of the skyline motors are good canidates. I have done the rb26dett swap from scratch in less than a week. You are going to need to make a custom oil pan to get rid of the front dif oil pan on the stock rb26, use rb25 block mounts and move turbo lines as necessary for clearance, custom motor mounts or use the stock rb25 crossmember, rb25 tranny, custom tranny mount, custom driveshaft, steering colum will need heavy modifying in order to clear the rear turbo as well as moving some turbo lines, wiring isnt too fun cuz the diagrams I have are way different but I have it all figured out. Im sure there are small details I forgot to add.

not to doubt you or anything but can you please post some pic of your car.. i think it would be a great car to see so can i see some pics of the rb26dett in the s-13 body..

There are pics of my car on a different thread called rb26 swap pics. It was posted by a friend of mine. I would have posted the pics myself but I dont have a digital camera for my pc. Plus Im tryin to get this thread started on the right foot cuz the one with the pics had some smack talkin replies.
