Gas Leak

2006 Grand Caravan. Driving the other day and lost a quarter tank of gas in 20 miles. Got home and there is a high pressure spray of gas coming from what appears to be the middle bottom of the tank. After it was parked for a bit I felt under and there appears to be some fittings/hoses in that area. Any thoughts on what it could be and the extent of repairs? I'm thinking about junking it so don't want to put big money into it.

Do you mean the top of the middle of the tank. That's where any hoses would be. I've read a good number of posts regarding leaks through hairline cracks in in the plastic pump housings on top of the tank. https://ww2-secure.justanswer.com/uploads/brownjeff/2010-11-18_213607_1.gif
Junk it? Is it a rust bucket?

Junk it? Is it a rust bucket?
No - the tank is recessed in the middle of the tank on the bottom and there is a line there. The gas is spraying straight down on the ground. If it was leaking from the top I wouldn't see the high pressure spray.
And yes I've got one of the wonderful rust buckets from Dodge

Got underneath the van and there are some hoses/fittings in the recessed area of the tank one of which looks damaged. Since it's spraying gas straight down it has one of those. I got a few photos but they are too large to attached here and I haven't figured out how to downsize the file

Took into the shop and is was a $5 plastic quick connect fitting under the tank that had been chewed on by something.
