I used the piece of brass I cut out of the inner window frame (attached to the inside of the roof) as the template to cut the window from some clear plastic stock.
The second piece of the frame below the window and template will sandwich the window into the roof assembly.

I started the steering wheel over a week ago. Being 0.032 inches thick it took 8 days to acid cut the brass parts out. Due to that extended time the cuts came out a bit rougher, but that issue will be dealt with later.

The tops of the carbs have been installed and the fuel fittings were machined/fabricated and attached to them. A section of the fuel line is on too.
It's starting to get tight between the carbs. But there is enough clearance for the linkages to work without rubbing the wires.

How do you make a hex inside? Hex tubing of sorts? Or is it resin cast?

First I broached the hex into a lead blank with a machined male hex tool. The plan was to solder it to a brass rod and then machine the outside, but the lead turned out to be too soft to function without rounding/stripping out. So I cut up the four-way tire iron I had and reshaped and bent it into the single type. It's made of zamac and is strong enough to do the job repeatedly.
