Help!! Tach Light problem!!!

This is the tach I have. Problem is the light has gone out. Not the shift light, but the one the lights up when you turn your lights on. The instructions says that the thing by the rpm writing(in white) is the bulb, but I can't get it out. Anyone know how to get it out??

you could smash it with a rock. I'm serious, that's how i got mine apart

It helps when you loosen all the screws in their and twist all the movable parts around. If that dosent help you need to pick it up and with some force, throw it on the concrete. This will give you an easier way to get into the tach and replace all the bulbs.

The black thing that sticks out u have to push it in kinda and turn counter clock wise.

Perhaps the wire that tells that light to come on came loose or something.

I'm sorry I have A.D.D. and i just don't have the patience for something as hard as taking apart a tach. I lose patience and smash everything.

Yes my tach's in the Lude (not that one on the picture) I got a friend to install it. It took him about 5-10 minutes. It was free for me thanks to a b/f & friends that work at auto part stores (I won't name the stores for security purposes) I get all kinds of cool stuff free or discounted.

Sometimes it's free and other times when the parts don't cost much I just use their discounts. I think back then when I got the tach it was around $250.

hey so did you get it figured out. i was going crazy for about 3 months i checked the fuse and the wiring running to it, no luck. i had to turn on my dome light on the street when im going to launch so i can see my rpms. lol but i figured it out. its that little button push on it and turn counter clock wise, take the bulb out and go to kragen,autozone, or someshit like that and find a bulb the same size than just put that one in and screw the button back on and you got light
