Hi,yesterday i started with my first MFH kit.

I got these kits a long time at home now,but feared to start with it.

Yesterday i tackled it and open the box.

There are lots of whitemetal parts who have to sorted first.

I sorted it to follow step after step the instructions.Enough reference material is here,so get it on.

The next step will be to sand the metal parts and put all into my magnetic tumbler which i bought three years ago and never used so far.

Its all new for me,so please be patience with me.

Hi ,first run was positive.
The polisher worked very well.I cleaned the pins first and than i started with the first bunch of parts.

Parts before polishing

and the result after it.The parts are not the best to show the effect, but it is there.

Only problem was the small pins stud inti the cooling structure on the cylinder. But with some patience i could remove all of them.
So i have to make parts after parts ready for completion.

You, my friend (as we say in English) have a long row to hoe.

Knowing your work however, you'll make a fantastic job of it. Looking forward to this build. Keep us posted!

I've used tumblers for white metal clean up in industry but they will not remove flash without softening the detail or give as good a finish as doing it by hand.
My advice for what it's worth is to do it all by hand and never assume anything will fit as it should. Unfortunately you can't simply start at stage 1 with a multi media kit and work through to the end.
Best wishes and good luck with it!
Cheers,
Lee.

But with hands I do also remove the small details. With fine sanding paper there is also a removing of material.
And with hands it's lot slower than with the tumbler.
I searched a long time for a other solution, but there is nothing to find.
In the F1m board are so many multi media kit builders who use this kind of tumbler. They can't be wrong ,or?
For me it's the best thing I can have.

I know I can't start with step one and go on to the next. But there are a lot of wip where you can see the best solutions on which step should follow the next.
